Few golf courses in the world can offer such spectacular nature experiences as Lofoten Links. It's located in an interesting historical area with many ancient remainings from the viking age, and is surrounded by great natural beauty. The actual golf course is smoothly integrated into the dramatic landscape with several holes between the cliffs and right by the waterfront. The Beginners Golf Course stretches over two days, and will provide you with all the theory and practice you need in order to get going on your own future golf adventures.

We meet up by the Clubhouse where you will get to meet your instructor and where all participants get their clubs and equipment, before we move to the range for the first session. We will go through the five essentials of a successful golf swing; the grip, posture, backswing motion, balanced finish and even tempo. When you're starting to get a hold of it, we move to the green for more practice. During the second day, we will start by repeating the new skills we've learnt and spend more time learning about golf rules, the handicap system, proper manner in golfing, and different techniques. Towards the end of the second day, you will get to be more self going on the actual golf course where you get to play several holes. After finishing this course, you receive a diploma that insures you have learnt the basics of golfing. This gives you the chance to sign up for a membership in most clubs around Norway.

During both days of the course, we take one lunch break plus one shorter break between the sessions. Coffee and tea is included, and for lunch you can either bring your own food or enjoy a nice meal at the Clubhouse restaurant. We also encourage you to stop and just soak up the amazing views between the sessions. There wildlife in the region is thriving, and whales and seals as well as big sea birds, otters and foxes are often spotted from the course. Between the end of May and the end of July, the course is also one of few places it the world where it is possible to play golf under the never setting midnight sun. In other words, what place could possibly be better to start your golfing career?
