If you have ever dreamed of horseback riding in magical nature where you get to experience the midnight sun, then this tour is for you! It's operated by our amazing partners at Hov Gård, with nearly 50 Icelandic horses, descendants of the horses of Viking Age Norway. We start by the stable where you get to meet the horse that you'll ride and get ready for the tour. No previous experience is needed – you will be in good and trustworthy hands throughout the entire tour, regardless of what level you are at.
The focus of this adventure is to enjoy some great views of the magical midnight sun, and it goes along nearby white sandy beaches, through some interesting historical areas. In the region, there is an amphitheater and what is believed to be an old place of sacrifice from the Viking Age: 'Hovet'. The historical vibes can be sensed everywhere, as people have lived and worked here for thousands of years. During the ride, we will make a stop to enjoy some hot drinks before we head back to the stable.
If possible, we split up the group after experience so that more advanced riders can go a bit faster during parts of the tour. When this is not possible you, we will still offer the eager ones to ride faster at the oval track by the end of the tour.
