Scenic Hike & Fishing Village Tour

On the Southern side of the Lofoten Islands we will find Henningsvær, a cozy, traditional fishing village that offers absolutely stunning views and attracts thousands of visitors each year. The view over Henningsvær, is best seen from “Festvågtind” which is one of Lofoten’s most scenic peaks. Whilst easier to hike than the “infamous” Reinebringen, this peak is popular amongst outdoor enthusiasts and photography communities. This peak is accessible by a moderate nature/mountain hike, and the rewarding views are truly amazing! 

This fantastic experience combines two of our most popular activities, hiking with a view, and exploring the cozy traditional fishing villages of Lofoten. This tour starts in the town of “Svolvær” where our crew will meet you after you enjoy breakfast in Svolvær. Our professional drivers & experienced guides make this journey a fun and educational experience,  learning about the traditional ways of the North.

After some time, we will arrive at the bottom of the trailhead in Festvågtinden where we will park the van and make our way to the trail. The mood and feeling in this area is really special. With waves from the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the rocks, along with views of small island chains and bridges that connect it all, it really is a beautiful place.

When we arrive to the top, we will witness stunning views over the fjords with Henningsvær just below. This makes every step worth it. After taking in the view, and snapping some photos. The group will enjoy some snacks and drinks before making our way back down the mountain.

When we make it down to sea level again, we will drive over the bridge to Henningsvær where your guide will take you for a guided history walk in the small fishing village. There is plenty of time to ask questions and take pictures. After the guided tour through the small village, we have ordered a light lunch for you at one of our favourite local restaurants, this is where we can share stories, look at the pictures we have taken and prepare for the drive back to Svolvær.

Please dress in clothes suitable for hiking (bring layers as the weather can be unpredictable). Before joining this experience, please consider that you need to be in moderate physical shape to reach the peak at Festvågtinden.
