On the outer parts of Lofoten we find Reine, a cozy, traditional fishing village that offers absolutely stunning views and attracts thousands of visitors each year. The view over Reine, is “Reinebringen” which is one of Lofotens “most talked about” peaks and famous amongst outdoor enthusiasts and photography communities. This peak is accessible partly by a sherpa stairway, and the last bit is a nature mountain hike.

The scenic drive & hike to Reinebringen tour starts in the fishing village and municipality “Svolvær” where we our crew meets you for the drive through Lofoten islands towards Reine. Our professional drivers & experienced guides make this scenic journey a fun and educational drive where you get to see plenty of the beauty Lofoten is so famous for.

When the group arrives in Reine, our guides are knowledgeable in the area, where we will find a good location for parking within the shortest possible distance from the trailhead to Reinebringen. Despite the fact that the trailhead is not very well marked, the hike to the peak is made slightly easier by an ambitious project being the new “sherpa stair way”, covering the majority of the steepest part of the hike.

Arriving at the peak, the group will be rewarded with one of the most remarkable views one can imagine, an epic fjord landscape, with Reine and Sakrisøya just below. This is a very special moment part of the adventure which will not disappoint even the most experienced outdoor enthusiasts. After taking in the view, we will enjoy some snacks and drinks alongside photos taken by your guide before making our way down from the mountain.

When we make it down to sea level again, we will drive to find a beautiful spot for a light picnic, share stories and let the experience of the viewpoint sink in, before heading back through the arctic landscape to a well deserved rest at your accommodation in Svolvær.

Along the European long-distance path E10, the scenic route through Lofoten runs through some of the country's most exceptionally beautiful and dramatic landscapes. At the base of the 1,000m tall mountains peaks, small fishing villages ornament the fjords.

The rich fishing history remains in Lofoten; small docks lie on the calm waters of the fjords, drying racks line the coast, and colourful fishing boats populate the gulfstream. The scenic drive across speckled islands from Svolvaer to Reine redefines a road trip. Immerse yourself in the coastal culture and capture every picture along the way.
